Ummm... What code are you getting for your CEL?

My speedo used to bounce around and die a lot. I tried 3 different VSS's and just bought a used cluster. The gauges inside can be pulled out and mixed and matched with others so I took the best of what I had to make something that worked.

go off road again for another 100 miles and it will went away

Well, if it's a 17, then you're in business...

I never got any kind of CEL for the speedometer.

Might want to check your wires just in case something shook loose.
