If you're **** drunk and probably going to get an extreme DUI your best bet is to refuse the test because then they can't nail you with an extreme. Sure, you'll get the DUI, but a regular DUI isn't ---- compared to an extreme.

They could have lied to us of course. But I was in the military and we constantly have safety briefs before holidays and whatnot. Whenever the Yuma PD would come in to give us their brief, that's exactly what they told us. If you decline the breathalyzer, you plead guilty and automatically lose your license for a year. Then they take you downtown where they get authorization to draw blood, and draw your blood. So either way they are getting your BAC level. But if you decline the breathalyzer, then you are GUARANTEED to lose your license for a year. That's what they always told us. I wouldn't know if they are lieing because I've never been in the situation. Just going by what the sheriff told us.
Yes, it's an automatic guilty plee, but if you're going to get an extreme DUI if you blow, then you're better of getting a DUI for not blowing.
I'd have a hard time believing they can draw blood from you. I fear needles more than anything in the world. They'd have one hell of a time trying to stick me with a needle.....especially if I was drunk. :P
