Here are 2 machines that are nice and will probably last you a lifetime.Not the best out there.But the most practical and best bang for the buck.

Miller dynasty 200dx-Small size and lightweight.excepts 110 power,portable and still able to do aluminum.

Miller syncrowave 250dx
Bigger,more powerfull machine.This is the one I would get if being portable wasn't an issue.The runnerpak also includes a liquid cooler.Something you might want if you plan on welding all day long.

Both machines put out more than enough power and both can weld aluminum.The dynasty is about $2600 and the syncrowave is about $3100.I've used about 6 or 7 differant models of Miller and Lincoln tig welders and my personel favorite is the Miller syncrowave250dx.Miller is located in Wisconsin,USA.So getting parts and service should be easier.If I remember right,Lincoln welders are made overseas now.Well,hope that helps.
