lol you guys are harsh, i know for a fact you can pick up almost 50whp on an acura TL by upgrading the cats, piping, catback, a cai and pullies too. Problem is the parts to do it are around $2000 without install. Then you start overwhelming the clutch

the vq35 loves to breathe, a good solid (nismo exhaust for example, the ---- that isnt cataloged, you gotta bug the parts guy for type) exhaust system on a 350z will gross 40+hp if it's built with a little bit of math. having 36 less hp on the altima, a hair over 10% less, 10hp less isnt much of a loss over a start of 270hp.

it's a 4cyl.
vq35 = variation of the 3.3, which was a redesigned vg30(d)e(tt).
vq = reverted to timing chain, etc etc, mid 9's on compression with decent lowend for a small v6.
se-r in the sentra itself is 177hp, up from 170/175 from the base altima thanks to a new muffler. se-r spec V adds 23hp to 200hp, hence the 'spec v' swap Big J rocked.
the vh45 (infiniti g45) is what the vr38(dett) in the new gt-r is based on, yet resembles the vq series in dimensions, and look, cept its an inch taller block.
frontiers carry a stroked out version of the vq35.. the vq40. it adds +10hp (at 300rpm less), +30 ft lbs (at 450 rpms less) while staying the same size.
"Evo spec GT-R will get a 530hp VR38DETT and weigh over 200kg less than the base GT-R. "
so now, it adds 50hp, and loses 450lbs, making it a 3300lb car... ---- YOU JOHNNY
