Default The Wagovan blows its first HG

sigh...should have known. Was giving Terry (SpecialFX) a ride the other day, doing some 5500 launches and yup, big cloud of sweet smelling smoke. RIP pos paper gasket.
Ofcourse I should have expected it, gave my boost gauge back to a friend, and It had some previously known boost spikes at 15psi lol.

Got a metal gasket on the way, should be ready in time for season opener at the local track

15psi spikes lol. Nice. I'd like to feel a 5500rpm launch in an AWD. Must be cool.

In a wagovan, why? Actaully, i saw the post about them earlier, and thought it would be pretty fun. Is it stock tubro'd, or is it a custom HMT project.

The wago launches very hard, but I must confess I have been cheating on you Dave, I found a car that launches even harder than the wago. I went for a ride in Jake Ackerson's DSM, and in a display of the most abusive driving I have ever seen, he spooled it up and sidestepped the ACT Xtreme clutch at 6000 rpm. Like I say, the wago is very intense (and getting better all the time), but the launches he was pulling were absolutely disgusting. That's a heavy-*** car spinning all four tires on dry pavement.
