hey thanks guys for all of your help. my buddy works at rays electronics in addison(in IL) and he is ordering a new remote for me for $35. it has a shock sensor and everything. i think that the previous owner must have lost the remote because they deactivated the system. it is a pretty nice alarm, i think. thanks for all of ur help again. i am going to pick up the remote tomorrow afternoon and get that bitch working...i LOVE keyless entry...especially when ur intoxicated and cant get the damn key in the hole anyways thanks again
