Yeah, I certainly wouldn't get one, work on it, and use it as a daily driver But it would make a hell of a project car. Maybe someday.

what i dunno what the ---- you guys are talking about not reliable and/or hard to work on. my 5.0 is easy as ---- to work on, the only thing that is GAY, but not hard. its the 15 accessories hanging off he front of the engine. the engine is a breeze to work on. the OHC engines are probably harder i would guess just beause of the big long chain(s)

my mustang is reliable. it has never not started in the minus degree weather and has never died on me.

one thing that is kinda gay is the cooling system sucks *****, the radiator doesnt work worth a ----. i seriously considered putting my aluminum teg radiator in it but it wont fit.

one thing that sucks about the 5.0's is when you get into the higher hp #'s you have the risk of splitting the block. but ive seen a bunch of stock block mustangs pushing 500hp stock block without problems

450 or even 400 wheel horsepower will yeild you ~500 ft-lbs usually on stock 5 liter blocks.

400 wheel horsepower in a fox is going to be fast as *****.

500whp splitting a block > 225whp cracking a sleeve & every piston 2x

you can buy an aftermarket sbf as easy as you can sleeve a 4 banger.

definitely, ive contemplated keeping the rex stock and buying a fox body and dropping a 5.0 into. then twin turbo later on

crxs can be fun too, cause they're so light and small. there is just so much potential in a 302cid motor

yea, id still keep the crx and drop a dohc in it and some suspension work and get a mustang to make fast. you put the same amount of money into a crx and a mustang, obviously the mustang is going to be faster and have gobs of torque

My buddy had an 88 GT with a few mods(303 cam, headers, exhaust, intake)and it was fast as hell, but he went through trannies like nothing. Seems like those 5 speeds aren't the hottest ----? He was pretty harsh on it though.
