ya you can get a card that has good quality w/hd,but not a tivo-like program to support it.

i have it and used it a few times to get home movies onto my pc/dvd.i think i paid somehwhere about 80$'s for it a while back.fukin easy to use.

video card w/ built in tuners are a waste of money. if u want to upgrade one, you've got to get both = stupid.

the two best standard definition tuners out there right now.

the reason older ones from ATI AIW suck is they do not process the audio internally and that can lead to sync problems. the 550pro hardware encodes audio and video before sending it into the pC (the hauppauge one does too i think)
