Default Vehicle ownership question

Ok, I sold my busted *** Civic about a year ago to a "friend". He claimed he was going to fix it up and do this and do that to it. I still owed money on it at the time so I couldn't sign the title over. This guy was supposed to be a friend so I trusted him. No bill of sale. Well, the cops are looking for me because the car was dropped off on the side of someones house and they want it removed. ---- that. It's not my car. I'm not taking it. There is no junkyard here so it's not like I can just call them and tell them to come get it. I'm dropping the dime on my "friend" so he can get fucked. I sold the ------- car to him and I have witneses. I'm not about to take resposibility for this ----. It's been over a year now.

What should I do?

Setting it on fire isn't going to get rid of it and shooting the ---- out of it isn't either. I'm not towing this pile of ---- out to the desert either. I'm sure it's stripped down to the metal so I doubt it rolls. ---- that.

Am I fucked?

I can't be fucked. I know there is something I can do.

Ok, there is no proof that I didn't hand him a notarized title. It's out of my hands. If he didn't tranfer the title over into his name, that's not my problem, right? How the ---- can I be resposible for this? I sold the ******. How can you sell a vehicle to someone and not have the damn thing in your name anymore without them transfering the title? I owned my truck for a year before I tranfered the title into my name.

God damn it....

What's the worst case scenario? How bad can I get fucked for this? I'm not taking the car. What are they going to do?

Yeah, it's in my name. They wouldn't be knocking on my door if it wasn't.
