Recent reformulation of oils don't help much. The EPA had sulfur compounds removed a couple years ago, and more recently zinc. Check the current June issue of Hot Rod (I think?) for an article on cam failure from such oil, and a few oils ranked by zinc content.
But, hey, we were revving stock B16 cams to 9500. Our rationale was that hotrex wasn't man enough to, so we needed to step up and be role models.
