He probably flags that much time because mercedes rapes people's wallets by charging them for double the hours it takes to do something. His base isn't that high but with the flagged hours, etc I would believe he makes that much. That is if he flags that many hours and gets paid according to the trainee etc.

I know some diesel mechanics who make 100K+ a year, but they work 55 hour weeks.

Ferrari mechanics are salaried positions. They don't want people rushing on anything.

I know a guy that went to ATC and has a similiar position at Mercedes and he makes serious coin. ---- I usually flag 16 hrs a day and I work on hondas. A lot of dealerships have different bonus programs for the techs. At my work if you flag over 260hrs a month you get 3.00 for every hour that month. And I know of 3 guys at my work that clear 100K as techs.
