Default Used TV's

I've been looking on craiglist recently and have been seeing a bunch of big screen TV's for sale and thought it would be nice to have one in the family type room. Anyone know the average life span of a rear projection ? Are they extra fragile? I've seen a number go up for sale under $500 being 3 years old and sell quick.

I can get you a 52" that's less than a year old for $500-600. A 42" flat panel for $700-900. A 50" flat panel for $1000-1200.

Hell I've seen some big *** projection TV's local for around 1-200. Mind your there probably from the 90's but who cares what the quality is...---- would make you look house look like it was on MTV's Cribs.

A guy wants $450 for a 3.5 year old Toshiba 42" rear projection. Don't really know what they go for, but that seems a bit on the high side.

i just bought a year old 36" sony flat panel off craigslist for 250. i googled before purchasing, found out it was worth 1000 new and snagged it. i wouldn't buy a tv more than 2 years old though, you're asking for something to go on it.
