update on the system
dan here, i had the teo4h turbo on the site here, and if you've been here in the past you know which one im talking about
anyway, just recently (2-3weeks ago) i shattered my clutch pressure plate rolling into my driveway comming home from work.
normally that would have upset me, but i really didn't care because i had a zc sitting in my garage fresh from japan waiting patiently to be swapped into my dx.
i ordered the 1990 jdm zc engine and computer and got myself a 5speed tranny from a 91 civic dx. (mainly because the junkyard didn't have an si tranny like they said on the phone, and i drove 3 hours to find this out and i wasn't leaving with nothing.
so ive got all that stuff, and i ordered up a clutchmasters dual friction clutch and ACT 11.9lb flyweel which should be arriving in the next couple days. ive also got an injector resister box comming in a week that i picked up for 15$.
i took the valve cover off to remove all the paint, and i gave it a bit of a polish while i was at it, so it looks nice. ive got a new timing belt that im about to install on it, new alternator belt, new plugs, wires, and ignition cap and rotor.
and ive got a connection with a certified mechanic that my brother used to work with that is gonna do the whole deal, swap and wiring to convert from dx/zc for 200$USD all labour included. origionally i was gonna swap in the engine myself with a bunch of friends, but after getting that price quote i decided i would be stupid not to let him do it. at least i will know it was done right.
and in in the process of buying a new turbo, that TEO4H turbo is just too small and is too restrictive for what i need. i know a guy that works in a turbo shop reasonably well that is going to hook me up with a custom turbo, hybrid of whatever garret internals i want, that will suit the zc totally, for 200$.
i think im going to keep the old hf manifold, although i might get it ported out slightly. and im going to have to get a new adapter plate, or chop off the turbo end of it and weld on one to fit a garret t-3 or whatever.
also im going to be getting a new downpipe made, all mandrel bent going straight across the middle of the underside of the car and exiting out the center of the rear bumper for max flow. instead of what ive got right now, which is 2.5 mandrel downpipe to a 2.25 crush bent stock replacement routed exhaust system.
ill have pics as soon as i can get some time. mainly because my digicam got stolen and i need to borrow one to take pics.
and this spring im gonna be at the track the first day it opens with slicks and a smile on my face.

ACT STREETLIGHT FLYWHEEL 11.9LBS
my dirty work area, notice the automatic tourque converter that came with the zc in the background, and my 91 civic dx tranny
my centerforce dual friction clutch united with its long lost act flywheel (there best friends)
what you guys think of my valve cover polish job?

Re:update on the system
The tial is even bigger, that manifold puts that wastegate in a shitty spot.
