Default Update on Probezilla(ND 2JZ powered 1st gen probe)

"Just a quick update on our progress today. Thanks to Daveh for the relentless help with the car, and making sure the hood pins are now latched.

The goal today was to get my NHRA license so I can run 9.99 and faster. It's good for 7.50. I made a total of 6 passes for the license, and last pass of the day sprayed the 75 shot through first. I had to run one half pass,3 moderate passes and two full passes.

1st pass: 10.70@98.11 Half pass- 20psi 1.42 60ft
2nd pass: 9.65@130 Mod pass let off at 990. 1.36 60ft
3rd pass: 9.86@123 24psi Mod pass let off at 990 1.38 60ft
4th pass: 9.54@134 28psi Mod pass let off at 990 1.37 60ft
5th pass: 9.34@147mph 31psi Full pass 1.34 60ft
6th pass: 9.34@147mph same Full pass 1.31 60ft

7th pass:9.15@148mph 32psi 75 shot spraying through first gear- 1.29 60ft!!

We are still only running 12.5 degrees of timing on that last pass, so there is more to go.
So I got my best 60ft,trap and ET and NHRA license on same day.

And some pics. The thing that amazes me about this car is it looks like the engine is supposed to be in there. It doesn't look like it was stuffed in there and half-assed.

Yep, I think he is using the powerglide. Dave (builder) and matt (owner/builder) have been on here a couple times. I'll link matt (owner/builder) to this thread for any questions that may be asked.

Dang, we should have done that with my cousins Probe GT instead of junking it :P I'm sure that took a hell of a lot of blood sweat and tears... car is awesome, nice job guys

they are using a Ford 9" rear end, powerglide trans.
THe thing about the MAF, not exactly sure about it but they are tuning with AEM stand-alone so i think u can probably change the way to measure air flow.
