update, is this car worth the price? link inside
So, my engine grenaded, I find a new engine... I THOUGHT... $450 for a 50k mile 95 LS engine. Good deal, cheap shipping.. plus tranny and other misc. extras, (dizzy, axles, SHIPPING, etc.) came out to about a grand. I entrusted an "aquaintance" to handle this transaction for me; he was in LA, he says "i'll pay for it, just send a check to my house--my wife will be there to recieve it". Long story short, Albuquerque gets ---- ON by HAIL, when the hell does that happen Anyway, my skylights are all busted out and ----, and water is in my house... so I forget to send him a check. I was nice enough to drive to his house and hand deliver a check for the engine (engine wasn't supposed to arrive until friday 10/8/04 anyway). He calls me today, "there was a problem"... apparently there was miscommunication between him and the salvage yard... he mentioned "civic" and even though I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED AN INTEGRA 1.8L ENGINE they were about to ship me a Civic 1.5L. WHAT THE ---- FOR $1000 And then they say if you want the LS engine, it's about $850, plus tranny ect... ---- THAT. God i'm pissed. So now I get to search for another engine... wheeeeeee.
So, if anybody knows where I can get my hands on a decently priced LS engine please don't hold back...

looks like a decent buy, but with those decals and exhaust, i would assume that its had the **** ran out of it. i might be a little skeptical of that. for $600 though...its tempting.
you could get a JDM D15B vtec for like $500- unless you already have a B series car.

Will-i got some pics....i was gonna just email them to you but i didn't get a price on this so i want everyones opinions as to what i should ask him to sell it for and what you would pay....It's out of a 1991 and it's got around 100k miles on it and it ran when taking it out...The distrib is broke i think and theres no tranny. He wasn't around to get a price so i gotta call him tomorrow.
