Default Type R turbo CRX

Has anyone slapped a turbo together on a type r in a crx on here yet? Rite now i have a jdm type r in my crx back home with basic bolt ons and ctr cam,itr cam, and i havnt made up my mind yet whether i should do rods and pistons on the r and turbo that or if i should save some money and sell it and buy a b18c1 or a b18b and build+turbo that.

Any input appreciated plus any links to b18c5-t 's especially in crx.

its a waste...too high of compression stock to last, and it wouldnt make great power numbers compared to a gs-r motor boosted, nobody on here has the $$$ for a type r motor anyway, and even if they do they wouldnt buy it cuz its a waste! sell the type r motor and do a built gs-r motor for the same price and actually make 500 whp safley on a built motor.....

so you think even with rods and pistons to lower the compression and give it a little strength it would still be stupid? And the thing with the type r was i got an amazing deal so it was hard to pass up and i was more of an all motor person back then. Now sense i live in jacksonville,Fl for now i have alot of friends with decently quick turbo cars. So in the last year i have become far more interested in the turbo scene and done a ---- ton of research and alot on here. I am just trying to figure out a realistic plan for the rex for when i get back home in december up in wa state.

If I was you, I would sell the full type r swap and use the money to buy a gsr swap and build that instead

just put lower cp pistons in, thats fine, but u should gime what ever ctr or itr cams u have lol i want some lol, but just find some like gsr or somthin around that pistons to lower the cp a lil bit. then boost it but only like 8-10 psi tho on a decent sized turbo...

you could boost the b18c5, just be conservative with the power and have it tune'd

hmmmm I really want to boost the R sense i alrleady have it in there, But even if i put lower cp pistons in and put rods in will it still hold up with the abuse? I am not looking for an insane fast car, i just want 12's. Which seems easily attainable with a boosted R in a crx. I just dont want to push too much boost and blow the bitch up/
