9 grand to spend you want something fast right outta the box.
get a GTO , they are practically giving them away. I have seen a few on ebay for 9-11K with under 40,000 on them. It's no Mazda Speed 6 , but it should do the job with 350hp.

Hahaha... I'm on the same boat... but I'm just sick of my Mercedes DD... I want a DD that is fun, manual, and I can still mildly mod while also being mildly baller...
My list is as follows...
_ 00-02 Lexus IS300
_ 02+ Audi A4
_ Volvo S40 [forgot the year span, but it's a few years old]
_ 04+ Acura TL
_ Acura TSX
_ pre-04 BMW 5-series
_ also the 3-series you have mentioned
_ s2000
Of course you can all of the above in auto if you prefer.
However my auto list also includes...
_ 02+ Mercedes E-Class
_ 00+ Mercedes S-Class [if you want the bigger benz]
_ 01+ Cadillac CTS [I know a ------' caddy right?!]
_ pre-03 BMW 7-series
_ 03+ BMW 7-series
I know a few of these fall into the 9k price range, I'm sure not all of them do... but then again prices vary from city to city anyways. I just think either of the listed would be some bitchin' *** cars as long as they have clean *** paint [black preferred] and rolling on some nice rims.
