Default Turbo Lebaron

I went to the junkyard the other day and found 6 turbo Lebarons. They looked like they would be a PITA to pull the turbo, but there were 6 at the junkyard and we bought a sb chevy transmission for $70 so I figure they would sell the turbos pretty cheap. I want to know exactly how hard it is to pull. I might just pull them and put them up on ebay.

I remember a few years ago attempting to remove one. From what I remember, its a total PITA and not worth your time, but if you're just bored, sure, why not? Bring a few gallons of PB Blaster with you.

There is a reason there are tons of chrysler turbos at the junkyard.
Everyone will agree they are a pita to pull. you have to pull the top half of the motor out to get the turbo. Make sure you bring a friend.

if you have something to cut the manifold it'll be pretty easy.

i took one off before with a cresent wrench and a pair of dykes.

yes it was a pain :-p

Its not worth it for how long it takes, not worth it at all. Chances are the turbo is fucked already anyway. not to mention they have those gay chrysler t3 flanges, and the gay chrysler compressor housing (you can't mount a proper filter to it)

My buddy works at a yard and used the forklift to pull the head off. If you have a forklift it should'nt be to hard.
