Alpine has a few decks for ~130 that have iPod adapters that I was thinking of getting. It would be nice to just leave my iPod in the glove box and be able to do everything from the head unit.
ive actually had good luck with the pawn shops in the Twin Cities on stereo stuff.

You should look on Craigslist. I have seen MANY good systems lately (subs, amps, and cd player combo's) for less than 300
