I remember a thread a little while back that someone on ebay was selling injectors, and in his desrcription was saying that tuner toys injectors were bad. Back then everyone was saying they were great and had no problems and made such and such power with them. What happened?

There was a guy on ebay that sells such and such injectors for car (I don't believe it was even honda related) and in his description he posted "results" of a flow test he did with Craig's injectors. Injectors are this guys bread and butter, so it's hard to say wether he actually did what he said he did, or if he was just bashing the competition.
Plenty of people have used the injectors with good results. All it takes is for multiple customers to recieve a faulty injector and Craig's dropping them. Nobody said all injectors, nobody said they work and then they fail. The injectors have had one too many occurrances of showing up with one of the injectors in the set being faulty to be a coincidence, so they are dropped.

I don't speak for Craig or Tunertoys, but I know a little about the situation and I'm just trying to keep the facts straight.

I'm saying where were all these people having problems with these injectors that are on this site when that first thread was active.

Craig handles problems very efficiently when they arrise. When there are problems, the customer contacts the person they bought them from, then the company takes care of it, or drops the ball.

Unless the company drops the ball, you probably won't see a post for everyone that has a problem with something.
And again, not every customer with the injectors had a problem. A couple inconsistancies here and there and then action is taken to prevent it from happening again. In this case, it's drop the supplier alltogether, but it doesn't mean you're going to hear a months worth of complaints before this has to happen.

He could have been like SSauto and just kept selling them since he's making money.....but he isn't.

I'm proud to say Craig is a fellow Arizonian.

WOW time flies. Its been longer than I thought. Craig has always been good. I am sure nothing was mentioned because they are a good company and like I said Craig is a stand up guy. Those of us, atleast me, never said anything bad about the injectors because we would not want to hurt Tuner Toys' name. By them removing the item that shows good business and I will continue to be a customer. Heres a copy of the some of the PM's. Sheesh august...I guess I dropped the ball on that one.

Biz,

Sorry for the delay in reply, just getting back from vacation.

Send us an active tracking number for the failed unit return package, and we will overnight you some replacements. This is odd that two would fail at once, I am concerned about that. Eager to see what the failure cause was.

Thanks from Craig, and sorry for the hold-up.

Did you want me to send all 4 or just the two known bad ones? They run fine up off idle but those two just wont open up at idle. I dont get it either. About an injector driver vs resistors. Any opinions on that?

We can do it either way. It would probably be better if you sent all four back, and then we can send you a matched set. Just get us an active tracking number for the returned set, and we'll send out the replacements. We have six sets in stock, so no worries.

Send an email to sales@tunertoys.com with your tracking info for the return package, along with name and shipping address, and that you are sending back failed 660s Honda Low impedance for replacement. Tha way we don't have to look you up!

As far as resistors, these injectors require them if you are using them in a high impedance car.

Thanks Bizzar,

Craig

damn now im kinda worried. last thing i want is an injector to fail at wot...is there any consistancies between failures? is it a sudden or slow failure? like they all fail at xxx miles or something? ive got about 8k miles on mine and havent had close to a problem. hell they worked better than the rc's i had previously

I am really dissappointed to hear this! I have just installed my injectors on Sunday. I haven't even started the car yet, and now I find out that these injectors are prone to failure. that really sucks. Oh well I guess...it's only money right?

We had 2 sets of "venom" injectors go out pretty much the same way the tunertoys ones do. I honestly dont trust stock injectors that have been bored out. I would highly recommend using RC injectors, ya they do cost a little bit more but they are worth every penny. From everything the way they are packaged/wrapped and how each injector has its indivudal flow rate printed out for you.. It kind of gives you a nice warm feeling inside when you see the care of how these injectors are manufactored. You can usually score sets on sale of 450/550/750's etc for around 275 shipped on HT.

I hope craig decides to go with them =)
