Default trying to paint civic

im gonna paint my 2dr 95 civic.... how much paint do i need? 1 gallon? or more

What type of paint are you using? Normally one gallon will do. You figure you'll end up reducing it to maybe just less than 2 gallons but it's better to have more paint than not enough and run out during your spray job.

How many coats are you doing? I would go with 2 to be on the safe side. Like tranceminister said, you want to avoid having to go buy paint in the middle of your spray at all costs.

im getting this enamel paint ---- from this ---- online and it comes w/ 1 gallon of paint and pint of reducer and a pint of thinner or something like that.....i plan to just prime it, 1 time coat it, and than clear coat it....so a 2 stage paint job i guess you can say

1 gallon would be more than enough. I used one gallon of single stage paint to paint a 4 door accord and a 240

lol, 2 gallons?

You would probably be able to get away with 2 QUARTS! I bought a gallon and had plenty left. Remember, you're not just spraying straight paint, its gonna thinned down quite a bit before it goes in the gun.

right on...yea i didnt figure it could take more than a gallon at the most....does anybody know anthing about acrylic paint and enamel paint?....and what the differences are? its gonna be just jet black so i dont think it will matter

USUALLY enamel is an oil based paint, and acrylic is a water clean-up. Urethane is my favorite.
