It's a ------- brilliant around town bike, and the torque really is phenomenal.

the xb12ss is a direct competitor of the speed triple.

the mags like them both, i think they usually give the speed triple a better rating because its faster, and maybe some anti-hd biased mixed in

but in reality the speed triple is a tad faster acceleration wise, it has a faster top speed by about 10mph i think, and they handling and braking are about the same. both sweet machines

i sometimes ride with a guy with a speed triple and its defiantly a level playing field.

Im riding the Daytona 675 right now. Its a good bike. My friend has the 955i version of the Speed Triple. Its a very comfortable bike with good grunt even though my d675 will eat the ---- out of it on the track. If I had the choice I would choose the Street Triple over the Speed Triple. I guess it would depend on your size. The Street Triple is pretty hard to find right now.

U wont really save any money on gas, after you figure the bike payment, gear, tires, ect its not cheap. I just spent $160 today on a rear tire and it lasts like 3,000 miles max

my pirelli diablos went 5,200 before showing cords.

i just bought a set of pirelli diablo stradas... supposed to last 8k miles, and they have just as much grip as the 4k mile diablos.

i like them a lot so far

gas wont be cheaper with the bike and 1050cc is a lot for a person without street riding experience, even if youve ridden dirtbikes before
