Transferring a title

Transferring a title
Just a quick question. Basically, the seller of the car I half-bought is having problems with getting out of work early enough to go to a notary to transfer the title of a car into my name. It seems from what I've read on about 3 sites about transferring titles (one from state.pa.us) that the seller fills in the odometer reading, their address, sign it, and then the seller needs their part notarized. It sounds like they can just fill in those other parts on their own, then I can go and get it transferred on my own. Is this true? If so I'll just do that.

I used to live in PA and what I would do is go to a small business notary and have them sign their part and leave the title with the person and say that the buyer will come in at a certain time to take care of their part and they will pay for everything. In PA if the car has a PA title you have to go to a notary.

All I ever had to do was sign the title in front of the notary, have the notary stamp it and be on my way. Most banks have notaries and I'm sure the guy has enough time to go to the bank. Tell him to stop being so ------- lazy and get off his fatass and get the ------- title signed. I hate when people lag on ---- like that.

Doc, notaries IN banks? wtf? That's sorta odd, notaries are little businesses on their own here, but I'm sure you might be able to do something in the bank, never heard of that here though...
If I can just get him to sign the crap and then take it to a notary the next day that'd be great.
