Default Trance's all motor disaster

Hey guy's I remember seeing this happen to 1 other person on here. I think it was Spoon or Spencer, one of those Canadians But anyway I was siting in traffic idling and all of a sudden my idle dropped down and I heard parts falling on the road and then the engine died.
I popped the hood and what did I find?

Looks like it'll be resting again until I can find the parts to fix it. What the hell causes this? Poor casting? Imporper tourque? I drove it all summer long and was preparing to drive it this winter too until now...

I don't know I havn't been able to rip into it yet. I'm actually afraid to!!! Hope I didn't do any other damage. Like I said I was just sitting there idling... The cam gear is now messed up too so it looks like I'm going back to stock parts for a little while.
Oh yeah and the ITB's ripped pretty good in the top end on this little SOHC. I swapped back to the standard Honda intake manifold for the winter but there were definately noticable differences. With the ITB's my low end suffered but the midrange and top end was breathing heavy!!!

I could possibly see over tightening causing that, but damn. That just shouldn't happen.

Yeah I thought maybe if I over tightened it it caused it to form stress cracks or something. It's just odd it didn't break before now, I've driven it for a good 5 months.
