trailer park / student budget paint job, pics inside (no 56k) (update 5-24-05)
here are the pics http://www2.latech.edu/~njt002/car/paint/ , I still have to block sand it and polish it. I might add one more coat. I got the idea from TI which linked from this thread http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/...54#Post2640665
What really turned me on to this simple paint job was that its a true one step. You can paint over bondo, metal, fibgerglass, primer, and paint. It seems someone people have achieved some really nice results. My results suck right now because I got alot of splotchy areas. The color is gloss black but it looks flat black because the sun was going down when i took the pics.
trailer park / student budget costs
-------------------------------------------
the paint was 20 bucks at walmart (I think i could have used the small can and saved money)
the mineral spirts was around 6 dollars
the roller was about 15 or so
the rest was spent on sand paper

someone resize these images :-) or tell me the code to do it.

Black or red usually aren't the best colors to do a budget job, but it doesn't look all that bad. I'm sure you weren't looking for a show car.
