Default Trade up to the same car?

Here's the story... I have a 97 Black EJ8 that I paid 5k for in Feb. '05. I thought It was in pretty good condition with <90k on the odo. Later on I found out that this car had apparently been in an accident (never reported) and the frame on the drivers side is kinda wacked (it leans like a ****). Aside from that, the front bumper is now a bit owned (by a trailer hitch) and there are a lot of paint chips and bird dropping damage in different areas, mainly the hood and fender. Plus a dent in front of the hood from the idiot dealer who sold it to me.

Now, my girl works at a Chevy dealer and someone traded in a 97 EJ8 with ~120k. According to carfax also no accidents. I haven't taken a good look at it, but the paint/body does seem to be in better condition than mine. It also has a lil bit of riceage from what I can see (decent black 16~17's, same "JDM" headlights I have, and apparently some kind of exhaust). I live in Miami, so non-riced civic is hard to find. I'm now considering trading mine for that one... Assuming it's in overall better condition than my car, how much do you guys think is a good price to go along with my trade. I know the dealer paid the guy 2.5k for it, but my gf said they were gonna try to sell it for 6k.

btw, my car has 105k at the moment.

You have less miles and tell him he can keep the wheels. That might get you some where. Unless your car is fucked up or something.

Like I said, the car looks like it's in better condition than mine. And it's a big dealer so they're in it for $$. I don't really care about the rims. I have SI wheels and I like them. I'm basically hoping that if I trade it that I can somehow switch all my stuff to that car (radio/speakers, suspension, wheels, tail lights(99-00), etc.)

really depends on how much EXACTLY do you have to paid after the trade-in.
1)are you going to keep the car for a GOOD while?
2)are you looking for all out performace that a frame damged car REALLY doesn`t suit your need?
3)are you sure this new car is going to run as good as yours? (assuming it runs decent still)

Ya my gf was gonna talk to the sales manager today to see if she could get it for 2.5k. But last we heard, one of the salesman was gonna sell it to some kid for 7k... But we left b4 he started any papers so I don't know if that went through. I'll find out later today.
