I wouldnt turn a dseries crank unless it was to stroke it. Get a good condition 40,000-100,000mile crank off ebay for 50 bucks. You could get a whole block for 200. It will be easier to spec. out, and more reliable. I dont trust shops , i get them to do as little as possible. The d16a6 and dohc 1.6 crank should fit also. I just dont trust gettinga crank turned .10 over hear and getting .10 over bearings there and them matching to well. There is some dude selling turned d16 cranks on ebaymotors.com with a set of oversized bearings for like 225, but if i where you i would go with a stock spec crank and a beter brand bearings like ACL or KING Performance bearings.

Are clevites good? Thats about the only bearings they sell for the chevy 2.2l 4 cylinder. Luckly they have commetic headgaskets, arp headstuds, and eagle forged rods, and wiesco pistons.
