Default Took the Civic to the track on saturday

Well, went as follows:

stock d16z6 coupe, 10psi:
(drag mani, 2.5" dp run through stock cat, tial 38, t3 .42/.4

r/t: .572 (horrible)
60: 2.493 (I had a 2.2 last time, stupid new 16's + kuhmos)
330: 6.388
1/8: 9.562
mph: 79.21
1000: 12.205
1/4: 14.482
mph: 98.92

Last time I was at the track, on my ------- stock tires @ 17psi air pressure, I was pulling 2.2 60's all day. I went this time with twice as much boost (10psi), and my new 16" rims w/ kuhmo ecsta 712s. Holy ---- did they not hook up. It was embarrasing how bad my 60's were. I got a 2.6, 2.7, then finally a 2.493.

I think that this car has a high 13 second run in it with some slicks, open DP, and another LB of boost or so. What do you guys think?

Matt

that is a great reaction time what are you talking about horrible? 0.500 is a perfect launch. Anything less than that is a red light.

Could improve a bit on the 0-60ft time.

All in all good run. how much does your car weigh?

the reason you might not get any traction is the extra power too maybe? :P

get some slicks and thats a 13 second car.

hmm... didnt know that random-strike. I thought all or most of them started at .500 for reaction time and some of the professionals start at .400... <SHRUG> shoot me for being ignorant you red neck! :P

with basically a 99 mph trap, that's a high 13 right there. do you have a good clutch? if so, just get some slicks or even some drag radials

Also, get some lighter rims.. CX or something along those lines.. Open DP and slicks will definetly get you into the 13's, if you don't ---- up/

Yeah my clutch is sweet. Its a SPEC stage III sprung six puck... Good for 300 ft lbs or so, it holds like a champ. She does alright, it's definatley a fun car. Now the real question is, where can I get some slicks?

I need a set that fits on the stock rims... 14s...

And i'm pretty sure the r/t started @ 0 here. I kinda forgot to go on the last yellow light this time around... I was rather dazed, only four hours sleep from taking the girl out for her 21st the night before.

I have no idea what the car weighs. Stock EX, minus spare tire + jack, plus the weight of three amps that I didn't want to pull out. Full interior, AC, etc all there.

thats pretty impressive for what you have.

Mickey Thompson makes some skinnies for the 14" rims. I have a pair on my 14" del sol rims. Grabs well too
