Video = fixed. My bad.
Ive been seeing more and more of those turbo.
Ya, as it turns out, the v6's range from just way overbuilt, to massively overbuilt for the stock conservative Toyota output. Good v6 for a turbo!
To equate it to something most people would understand, Nissan (until now) built slightly bigger hp v6's, where TOyota was more conservative & simply overbuilt theirs that much more.

toysrme, does he have a link to pics of his car?
Ya, they go up & down on his homepage. It's been having some bad moments this year. Doesn't stay updated either.

is that camry pump or race gas?
Pump gas with water injection. Which was the reason for the swap from 10.5:1 pistons to 9.0:1. This is still the daily driven car. (the peak effective compression ratio was 31.0:1 before the swap. Too high for a daily on street gas!)

I just got a 93 Camry V6 for $200 that just needs a headgasket. Hmmmmmm, maybe it needs quite a bit more.....
Yes it does. Custom copper, or Victor's Nitroseals from Napa/Carquest.
The motor is good for about 550 stock if you can tune rich for ----.

What head / block combo is he running? 5s block with 3S head?
Dude would you read? It's a v6. Not the mother ------- S block i4's.
It's a completely built 1994 1mz-fe. That's a 3.0L v6.

Id rather drive my slow golf than put race gas in a 13 second, 500hp grandmother car.
U didn't know, but like I said in this post. Pump gas with water injection. You can't daily drive race gas!

You'd have to be able to catch me first, and unless I'm walking to work you won't catch me in that VW, even if I'm driven that $200 camry. Want some VW parts though? I've got a good bit of corrado parts. I parted them out because I realized the cars were only worth $$$ in pieces because they never ran as a whole.

News flash, I'm not a VW enthusist. VW = cheep low mileage daily driver. 3sgte = toyota engine for my celica.

and if you want to talk about fast

I'll bring this out to party.

That particular engine is a complete nasty, tank of a thing. It's great with fi provided you mill the heads flat (Do it...) & put some good gaskets on there. Use what I provided above. Once that's done, don't take the chance. Change the thermostat, water pump, timing belt & both pressure caps.
Check the radiator also.

That engine has weak factory headgaskets, but doesn't blow them without overheating greatly to begin with. Something is gaurenteed to have caused it to overheat & you need to solve that before putting it on the road.

I'm just ------- with you anyways buddy. Half of the hardcore race-----s I know are VW drivers. As far as most celicas go I tend to fall back on their old commercial slogan "they just look fast". What is that lil bike there in the pic? Looks like it would be a fun party if you brought that out to catch me in my Honda. You'd be screaming up and I'd be slamming on the brakes, or in your case, the breaks.

I'll definetly check into all that. I'm gonna start looking at it and figuring out a fab. route to put something together the HMT way. Just give it a bit more power while still keeping it daily drivable and decent on gas milage.

Depends on the celica. You can make them fast.
Especially the 3s-gte AWD ones.

You remember the dyno vid and smoke coming out of the valve cover? the blow by was more likely the cause of your motors failure then the tuner
