kumho tires (ecsta 711 or 712) are decent on the street.. cheap.. but shitty at the track.. (lots of wheel hop)

i commute up and down a winding steep mountain road, I buy the 711' s cause theyre cheap (bought a set installed for under $300 today) and are fairly good on wet roads.
If you dont have to worry about it falken azenis are the ----. one of the best non-r compound tires IMO.

i`ve had dunlop sp9000, FM-901, W-10 and Azenis, had them with the exact same size, and suspension setup
i tried them all on the same mountain course
i`d take the W10s over the all of them.
for the price 901 suck man., ok stiff side wall, ok traction but VERY unpredictable.
Azenis are ok, very good traction but take a good while to warm up, while it is still not-so preditable.
W-10 warms up in no time, almost the same grip as Azenis, very preditable, but mine set lasted only 6 months. that`s with very heavy mountain runs. plain street duty i think it will last 10000 + miles.
BUT they`ve already stop making W-10s :P
