do it and take that oppurtunity I would. great now to take financial worries off your back since the econmy is bad. only down side is your going to have to deal with snow since your use to nice weather all year long.

paid house six figure job......don;t see what the discussion is about...---- if your house is paid off work like nog...put money aside.....if you hate it that much empty your bank account and roll back west with a chunk of change......winter does kind of suck make it past the first year and it gets better....just my 2 cents....less crime, free house, good job... i would move

I'd say take the deal except for the supposed arrainged marriage. If you don't have to oay for a house, your living in an area with a low cost of living and your making bank. You can save tons of money. I mean you could realistically save 100k in2 years and if you don't like it by then move back to wherever you want.

ONly way to be a normal dude and have extra income in California is to live in the very poverty striken areas like I have my whole life. The deserts/fresno,sacramento and you can afford to live pretty solid on low income. Now san diego,LA you better bust out 80K+ a year and hope you dont have a divorce somewhere down the line.

as for the season change. i love living in ny. the changing of the leaves and ---- is awesome out here. as for the snow/ice. buy a 400$ subie winter beater and have some fun you'll NEVER have in san diego. problem solved.

Well my mom serious, she hates 90% of the girls i date, but I understand her and any parent wants the best for there kids, she's a little crazy, but really who isnt nowadays? As for wineyards, southwest mi has a few, one in big production they ship across the country and a bunch of small vineyards are around the bigger 2 to 3 in the area and most hve really good desert wines along with so-so reds, hits hit or miss!

MI is fucked. Last year the government shut down for a week or so because they ran out of money... had to raise taxes to cover the deficit.

Not to mention there is just about the same amount of crime and ---- because everyone in the state is broke.

I see stolen cars and ---- ALL the time on the local boards... Just as bad as the SoCal honda boards.

Basically, you are looking at maybe having better money situation, but otherwise it is just as shitty here, and the weather sucks *** about 8 out of 12 months. I am from just a few hours south of ann arbor. after living in a few different places, I cant wait to go back home. The seasons, you either love them or hate them. No in between. I love the cold, and when it gets retarded hot, it lasts about a week. Cost of living is cheap. The house im looking at in N. Indiana is ASKING $80k. That wouldnt buy me the sidewalk in SD from what im told.

Now, the independence thing....what have you done to make your parents control the ---- out of you? If they buy your house, they will have your ******** tied to the tree out front too. A pre-arranged marriage, what the hell? Now them introducing you to someone is a little different...you sure that isnt the case...or are they saying, Son, meet this chic and lets head on down to the preacher so you can get hitched and move into the house we bought for you?

If I were you, id tell your parents you support there decision to move to Mi, and you would love to follow them and would appreciate there help in buying a home, but they would need to understand you are 29yo and have your own life to live.
