Have fun with that...people get into business to make money in most instances. Those that try to charge the cheapest price usually end up MIA in a few months time with a bunch of people's money.

AKA...Hotrex, One-Fab, Custom Coach, JohnnyRaceCar...and the list goes on.

Look at the companies here or on other sites that are still here year after year and do your best to mimmick what they have done (it wont be easy) instead of just trying to be the "cheapest guy"

Keeping with the market price on items is good for everyone...when you bring the market down, the good vendors move on to other opportunities where they don't have to compete with Johnny No-Overhead.

Something decent...tokico, koni, kyb etc. Might also want to try and include decent springs with that group as well...minimalist H&R types for beginners, tokico RAK's (yeah right lol) real deal Tein's would be nice too but might be hard to become an "authorized" vendor. Decent parts at decent prices works, cheaping out with chinese turbos is one thing...but suspension should always be high quality.

thanks for the serious reply Xenocron. its nice to start moving away from the forign -----s. i cant get those, i have tried.

i dont plan to undercut anyone that is already on this site and i do intend to make money, but i am starting out as a side project and plan to keep my day job for quite a while. getting the parts out wont be a problem since i can ship directly from work. i am also not going to be making any of these parts myself so hopefully i wont follow the hotrex road. i have just noticed that the sponsors on this site charge less than everyone else and hopefully i can find some useful products for the HMT people at the same prices. i will check into the shocks and see what i can do and maybe i can get springs from the same people.

The only good idea I can come up with is apparel. HMT shirts, hats, stickers and sweatshirts (real ones this time). You could also carry a full line of Stealthmode one-liner shirts, but royalties would be expected.

Examples:

"I got a HomeMadeTurbo, *****"
"**** bitch ------, you just got dusted"
"Hotrex has herpes kid, I serve him with a kosher tip".

....and so on.

It's a guaranteed sale, you'd just have to put some production time into it. I've had the connections for shirts and stickers forever. I just don't have time to handle it.

damn stealthmode, thats a good idea. i do have a screen printing hookup too. im gonna PM you and abaz after i eat, dinners ready

Edit:::

the proper people have been PMed and i thought abuot it and if nobody is already doing it i can offer stickers. if HMT already has a design i can use that or i will make a few and we can vote. then all proceeds(that i get to keep) will go to stocking my shelves with suspension parts for the HMT people. lol

HMT specific parts are covered. I can't think of anything more that would be successful. The cost and quality have to match HMT, and I can't think of anything ideal that could be offered. Or, you could just sell couplers, chinese intercoolers, and bullshit like that. You'd be the 5 millionth no-name guy to do that, though, and it's not fun.
