I thought about going f20B(accord Euro R) in my 91 hatch. I did a built LS/VTEC instead for cheaper. I never got around to boosting it, but I would've been happier with a built boosted B rather than a N/A H22 swap, for around the same price. Plus I didnt have to modify my hood to fit on my car... H22, specially with the H2B conversion sits out of your hood way farther than I could ever stand...

I found some nice numbers out of the FULLY BUILT B16 TURBO, so Im prob just gonna fully build my b16 so I can rape z-28's like scottsi's with nitrous. Yea I know the car is light as is. But I was missing a couple rear interior piece's so I figured I would take it all out.
i love the whole 4cyl vs 8cyl debate! its pointless, you go ahead and build your b16 and turbo it , but when it comes down to it, you still mod a econo box.....i really dont think you know what your talking about, scottsi has a very nice power plant the he can make some very serious hp with very little money.......example is that he make more hp and way more tq then with just bolt-on as compared to your gay turbo b16.....then throw on a 100shot see ya!.....go ahead build your b16 but the fact of the matter is that there is no replacement for displacement.......show me a civic that can run high 8's then drive the ****** home! not gunna happen

Sure we can't build a civic to run 8s then drive it home but we can build a good 12/11 second car that still gets 25+ mpg and can be DAILY driven for pretty cheap.

Go for a drive in your iroc and listen to kid rock you ------ redneck.

Oh and boosted b16 = more power than an h22 dickfuck. Now boosted b16 vs boosted h22 is another story.

i think it would be pretty cool if you were to go crazy with it, but i'd take a stock block turbo b over a stock turbo h. thats just an expensive timebomb waiting to happen.

why are you building your motor ?? a stock b16 can handle 350+ on pump gas reliably and beatin daily, your going to waste a bunch of money ""building" your motor then your going to have a hand job tunner that wants to be "safe" and pulls a ---- load of timing out and your car will run like dirt and throw down 265 whp
turbo what you have and stop acting like your building some 500 hp monster, 300 whp in that little of a car will make you ---- your newb pants and you'll be so scared to romp it you'll still run low 14's /threadplz

Wow this thread has been less than mildly entertaining.

If you decide to do an H swap (great idea!), let me know. I know someone selling h23 block, h22 head, tranny, and some other ----...and someone else selling a h22 block. Both the ***** were trying to buy my CRX yesterday and I told them to GTFO.

As far as the question. Why don't you add up costs of all your options, and decide based on how much you want to spend.
