Default Thinking about buying an E30 325i convertible

Yes or no.

Black 89 325i convertible. 230K miles.
supersprint headers. no cat, remus exhaust, hot cam, K&N, chip. Sounds mean and pulls strong.
Staggered rims with fat lips with Azenis. H&R springs, bilstein struts, ST sway bars. Performance pads and rotors.
Mechanically sound. Handles really good, fun to drive. Owned by a guy with money that had it in the shop whenever it would make a funny noise. It's also has a new top. Clean title.

The bad is buddy spun it off the road in the snow, and fucked up the rear end of the car. Ppushed in the bumper, dented both quarter panels, fucked up the tail lights. The trunk still closes properly, and I could live with how it looks with a new bumper and tail lights. The seats are also torn.

He wants $2500. How much should I lowball him?

Hell yes get it.

I'm in the process of looking for a clean E30 myself.

The E30 platform is great for racing, the parts are pretty cheap and plentiful, and it sounds like this one already has some fun stuff done to it.

Post up some pics after you buy it!

check the rear subframe - not so sure about the e30
my e36 and e46 both separated

e46 happened at an autocross and i couldn't finish that day - complete nonsense

i wouldn't give him 2500 with the damage though...

is the dash cracked? always happens on those cars because of the sun

Well, I bought it. Just got back from the first drive down the local cliffside twisty road with views of the water. Car handles MONEY. Mad *** end out action around switchbacks. Scared my old lady.

Now all I need is a bumper, lights, registration, insurance.
