I recieved one of the SS wastegates as a birthday gift. I took it apart side by side with a brand new tial and compared all of the pieces.

I found every part to be identical with the exception of the diaphragm. It was the same type, color, etc. but the quality did appear to be worse. It looked like sloppy stamping or something like that.

I still plan on using my SS, but now I'm wondering if I can order a diaphragm from Tial to drop in there.

16,000 miles on my SSAC Tial. I bet you the diaphram was pinched between the housing halves. No infact I gurantee you it was! Mine sure was and all the screws were loose. I simply took it apart when it was new, locktite everything and reinstalled the diaphram the RIGHT way and it has been fine. Yes most of their products suck *****. No the tial does not its just the assembly of it that sucks. I wouldnt let those ******* put air my tires I bet they could screw that up too.


Lesson people, if you buy a WG from SSAC take the bitch apart! Put it back together the correct way and be done with it.
