is there any way to tell????
is there any way to tell if i'm talking to the same person on two different im's
i'm trying to sell my mpfi swap and the guy that was gonna buy it tells me to talk to some other guy and the other guy says he is just trying to help the buyer out so he doesn't pay too much, which is reasonable. and now the guy i'm supposed to be talking to is trying to make me feel bad about the kids dad dying and trying to make me back down on my price because he's so poor and his mom just bought groceries and only has 20 bucs she can loan him plus his money. is there any way i can get an ip address from using aim i wanna see if its the same guy trying to make me feel bad and back down and ---- so help if you can.

this may or may not work. you have to kind of guess who is who using this... but it will tell you your active network connections. bring up a command prompt(click start, run, then type 'cmd'). type netstat. you should see something like this...

yeah, my computers name is donkeytron. i was drunk when i installed windows and the name just grew on me. anyways, as you can see, there are three tables: proto, local address, and foreign address. pretty self explanitory. i started aim to kind of give you an idea of what you would see, but i got no buddies to talk to right now. when your buddies come in, if they are on the same ip, you will know. the 63.249.23.143 is Homemadeturbo, so disregard that. also, disregard the 205.188.x.x, thats aols network addresses. just use a process of elimination to find out which connections are which, and to see if your two buddies are at the same ip. hope this helps.

You have a price you will sell it for, and a price you won't. Make that decision.
A bigger rule than that is, first instinct. Personally, when I have a guy approach me from ebay or whatever in a situation that I could make good money, but it seems like its gonna be a pain in the ***, TELL THEM YOU CAN'T DO IT. (When they arab grind you, just tell them forget about it.)
HMT members always have my attention, but I learned real quick that you can't complicate your life with people that want to ---- around and play games.
This is what I have and this is what I'm selling it for. It sounds like your first instinct is talking to you. Especially if your being tossed around from one guy to the next. (Who are you really dealing with?) IMO dont do it.
