open any folder (my computer for example), go to tools > folder options, click the "view" tab, scroll all the way down and uncheck "simple file sharing"

if you cant do it this way, you can install apache webserver and make the document root your x:/ drive then go to http://127.0.0.1 (local host) then browse your hard drive like it's an http server. works on computers you don't even have the admin pass to.
