Re: Taurus 9mm
ill throw my little 9mm sucks story into the mix as well. one of the guys in my platoon emptied the clip from his 9mm into a chicken.. yes a ------- chicken... and that bitch was still hopping around. i doubt i lasted long but none the less it was still alive and intact. if it can't drop a chicken wtf is it gonna do to a big mother ****** coming after you?
for the record im in the marine corps infantry.. in iraq currently

wanna sign a waiver and let me shoot you with some hollow plus ammo and see if you can stay standing? then i can say i shot someone AND prove my point. maybe shooting someone in the stomach might not drop them, but i can aim well enough to hit a more critical region.

Re: Taurus 9mm
maybe if you used hollowpoints it may have been different, maybe not, who knows.
As far as that article, I dint like it much, basically said carry a bigger gun. Well I'd carry a 44mag if I felt comfortable holding a hand cannon and only having 6 rounds, as far as my 9mm goes I have 18 and could take down 3x as many people, sure it may not b an instant drop but that's where having extra rounds comes in handy. But I will admit after reading this thread I would like a .45 or 40 cal.

Re: Taurus 9mm
The only problem with the .40 is the ammo is a little more than the .45 other than that I do like the hitting power of a lager cal. But then again a .357 is a mean ----------er. We have shot wet phonebooks with lots of different rounds and cal. and by far the .45 would do the most damage if you got hit by it. But the velocity of the .357 was just WOW......

I'm 5'10" 150lbs on a good day and I conceal it just fine. My old roommate just bought one of the subcompact versions it feels a little weird witht he shorter grip because my pinky hangs over just a bit but you can get the little plastic thing to extend it -just- enough to make it comfortable and that's still a 10+1. It comes with one of those mags and one of the normal size 13+1. I have one of the first few that came out and It is 4" model with the longer grip.
