sleeping with a gun makes me 'safe', but wearing a bullet proof vest around makes me 'paranoid'. So i've since sold my vest for crack and hooker money

you're just jealous that you dont have the opportunity to kill dune coons like we do, just admit it :P

I can't remember how many guns threads have come up asking is this 9mm good what about this one? For christ's sake if you want a protection gun don't buy a 9mm, buy a 40S&W with a heavy load or larger otherwise you won't be doing much unless you headshot. If you think that you can headshot anyone under a stressful situation you need to educate yourself before you own any kind of gun.

i dont know why people say 9mm isnt enough stopping power. if i shoot you with a 9mm i GUARANTEE you your dropping to the ground.

9mm with hollow point +plus ammo and you have plenty to get youself out of any situation thats not going to have you ending up in jail. sure a 9mm might not be very strong at 25+ feet but if your shooting someone that far away youre going to jail anyways so who cares.

said by the guy who has never shot someone before. i had the lovely opporunity of serving in the army infantry. unfolrtunately, i got deployed to afghanistan. i have a 7 inch scar on my stomach from where haji sliced me with a knife after i shot him 3 times, center mass, with my m9. there isn't enough hydrostatic shock in a 9mm to take some people down.

heavy load .40>9mm any day.

At war I'd want somethng bigger than a 9mm, but for all around use I feel my 9mm loaded with 18 hollowpoints is sufficient in protecting me. I'll have a mini 14 soon, unless someone can convince me otherwise.

not saying a 9 is better then a .40, if you can fire .40 ammo out of a 9mm frame then youre better off.

wanna sign a waiver and let me shoot you with some hollow plus ammo and see if you can stay standing? then i can say i shot someone AND prove my point. maybe shooting someone in the stomach might not drop them, but i can aim well enough to hit a more critical region.
