I compared the old tires and the new once and the older once are a little bit "taller" then the new once. talked with a guy at a tire place and he said that the springs might be too stiff for my car, the car is not heavy enough to compress the spring. I also talked to the seller and he viewed the pictures and said that he never saw anything like that before. he said that he'll call tokico and have them send me out a new pair. anyone have any idea on what kind of spring weight is on a stock civic ? and the once that i have on right now.

if your getting a new set, then go ahead and cut the spring. i like cut stock springs cuz they ride like stock, but are still lowering your car. i have coilovers though, so i don't need them. cut springs kill shocks quicker than normal cuz of the angle on the spring. since you cut it, the top isn't flat anymore.

Im pretty sure that ill have to send the used once back to them. I don’t really wanna do anything that will ---- up with my warranty, since it’s a LIFETIME one.

Cut springs ride like stock?

That's news to me. So what is causing all my ricer friends to bounce violently over rough sections on the road?

I'm telling you the springs were designed to make it ride that high. They might settle a tad but that's all, not going to settle a whole 2 inches and give you the JDM *** Ricer look you're looking for. They might advertise 1.75" but in there it probably says "appxomately" or "lowering may depend on make/model of car." Basically you're not always going to get the advertised lowering amount.

uh, did you read my post? cut springs do right like stock till you ---- your shocks up. Cut springs kill shocks faster. thats whats making your homo ricer friends bounce like a basketball all over the road. tell them to stop being cheap and get a good stut/coilover combo.

It must have instantaneously fucked their shocks up, then.

My ricer friends don't listen to me, thats why they've all blown up or wrecked atleast 1-2 cars, some of them 3-4. Meanwhile I've never blown a car up or wrecked one. Hmm, guess being a ricer causes ---- to break and for you to lose control.

I know what is wrong.
You put back that silver ring that goes on the strut before you put the black sleeve back on.
Take it off and voila.
