Ive had this happen to me 2 maybe 3 times.
Ive gotten out of it everytime.
basically. make up some ----. say you started a new job and you were moving at the same time and you completely forgot.
next thing you know you get a notice saying your license is expired.
the sooner you go the better, it will make a difference in gettign the civil assessment waived for the failure to appear. get yourself a BS insurance card that shows valid insurance for you on the car you got the ticket on on that date.
call me if you want i'll give you a hand if needed.

just lay low, buckle up and drive the speed limit 
i drove for 6 months w/suspended license cause of DUI, fleeing and abeding, and wreckless driving. i've never gotten pulled over for no reason, it's always cause of stupid ---- i've done. but if you get pulled over with a suspended license, say hi to bubba for me.

One of my friends got a ticket for "unsafe start" in his 00 Cavalier 2.2 ( the real slow one). He had been waiting 45 minutes to get home because of a Homecoming parade and when the cop finally let him go, 20 minutes after the parade passed. He punched it a little. The first and only time the car ever broke the tires loose in stock form, it let out a tiny chirp and he got an "unsafe start" ticket for it. I tried to get that thing to break the tires loose after that and they wouldn't. Stupid laws being enforced wrong.

stupids. go to court. im surprised they didnt issue you a bench warrant.
and to the fool with all the tickets.. you should not have a license. Its people like this that are the cause for us getting pulled over for "exhibition of speed" and ---- like that.
grow the ---- up and drive normal on city streets.
