homepage doesn't look too bad.
Possibly make the pictures a little bit bigger ?
so we can see the details a little more. You still have empty space between the navigation bar and other bars around it, so a bigger picture wouldn't hurt.

One more functionality is missing.
When you go here:

After visiting a thread through the last post link, coming back to that page and refreshing it, the blue rhombus on the left still stays lit up blue. I was very used to it turning gray so I know which forum has new posts since i was last on HMT.
Rick, please fix this if you have some time on your hands.

when i went to sleep i was trying to get used to it, then when i wake up its very similar to the old HMT. this may not be so bad as long as the noob posts dont have to change.
a little info on the car, some pics of the car, then ****. it makes us more willing to welcome the noobs
