my cousin sued the city for 650 bucks to get a new rim and tire and they forked over the dough oncce he showed pictures of the pothole ... but idunno about a unfinished road in canadia

If the car's suspension was modified at all they will just laugh at you. Take pictures of the car, pothole, and some point of reference (ruler, foot, ect). Unless there were signs posted, you should be able to bitch enough to get it paid for.

She took camera phone pics of the damage of her car last night, none of the potholes height though
She found a girl who would actually talk to her about it tonight to, theres some forms shes gotta fill out to start the ----. Its through the town and not the construction company BTW

you dont sue the city thats like takin on the mob
That sounds about right be ready for a long and drawn out process. This is how they get people to just give up on claims

They are responsible, you just have to find the right route to take. A pothole claimed my mothers wheel on her mazda 626, my dad figured out what to do and sure enough, filed a report, and they paid for the new wheel and all associated costs.
