Stupid computer help
So I got a computer, regular compaq amd athalon xp about a year old, worked perfectly fine. So one day I decide to run the windows sp2 disk thing that I have and do the updates that pop up in the corner that I have been ignoring forever. So I did this ---- and now the computer acts fucked up. Every once in a while, it will just freze for about 10 to 30 seconds and then just act fine. but sometimes when it goes into sleep mode ( when it just sits for a while and the moitor turns off etc) after a couple of minutes, all of a sudden, the hard drive starts going nuts and spinning really fast, and the computer won't do anything, sually I just hit a mouse button and it turns back on, but now nothing.
So what the hell is it, how do I fix it, I'm no computer genious but know a little. hook me up I need help thanks

Re: Stupid computer help
i hear sp1 security allows virus and spyware to access your pc..but iono maybe im wrong..i have sp2 installed right now....yeah if ---- goes too wrong i'd reinstall winxp and do da updates....if you dont want to lose any of your folders next time...just seperate the winxp from your personal folders in different partitions..or defrag your pc once a month or a couple of weeks maybe some files in your pc are missing and scrambled thats probably the reason why its ------ up during the update...?

Re: Stupid computer help
My friend had the same problem and reinstalling XP helped. I have never used a MS update and have never had a problem.
Everyone knows that SP1 and SP2 were released by the government/Microsoft to make it easier to spy on you due to the Patriot Act (ok well maybe not...).
