strut bars

Re: strut bars
Yes, pre loading the bar can be done, however I dont like anything pre-loaded. You preload it that that only limits your car. Just my $.02. The drifters say preloading is an awsome thing, the suspension is already set to slide before they even start sliding. FWD, I dont think its a very smart thing to do. By doing it, your already setting your car up for oversteer or understeer and that could be a very bad thing, and turn into a nasty situation. Hit a corner to fast on a preloaded suspension, you could be sideways too soon, because your already pre-loaded and bam. game over. You dont pre-load it, come into a corner a little to fast, you get a little sideways you can drive out of it. See where im going? Drifting, you wanna go sideways. Preload the suspension. Set it up to go sideways. You can accually buy strut bars to help you acheive that. Strut bars dont mean anything though, and are worthless.
Auto-x is something ive been researching for a long long time on the internet. Ive had a big goal to accually do it one day...im doing it and loving it. Its going to consume alot of the summer I think. Get out there and start driving!
Another great website for suspension, check out www.redshiftmotorsports.com and look at how they have there car set-up. Proves that a solid suspension and good driving can be better than a built motor and no suspension, even with a good driver.
