Permatex does not equal Permatex thread locker.
Permatex itself means gasket sealer,
Just like Band-Aid by itself means adhesive bandage. They make other products obviously, but if you want Band-Aid brand liquid bandage you don't ask for a Band-Aid.

Blue is medium strenght for removable/sevicable components.
Red is marrage, once it's on there, good ------' luck. Use red for head studs and things of that nature, blue works good for everything else.
Did you not see the picture? It's RED thread locking agent in a package that has Permatex slap tagged all over it.
