Default ------ stink commin in my vents - problem found

ever sence my car was boosted when i have my vents on fresh air not recirc it smelled like oil and gas, i figured it was just ---- burnin off my turbo or somthin i leaked somewhere in the install, but it never went away. my friend drove my car and said he felt shitty after driving with the heat on and it smelled like the enigne was in the car with me.

anyways we tracked the odor to the breather filter on my valve cover. i figure alot of u use these too so id share. basicly the blower sucks fresh air in right across from it in my car so i relocated the filter (see picture) and the smell no longer comes out the vents. maybe you all already know this..

strategically placed catch-can would prolly fix it too.

I had something worst, after I came back from Iraq I picked my car up from storage, it was wet inside, and smell like dead rats, I search through the car and found rat ---- and all kind of ---- food etc. turned out they put the cars outside with the windows open and rats got in and setup shop found 2 dead ones and a lot of ---- and broken wires, I had my wife picked up the car 1 month before I came home, and she signed off on the papers that everything was fine.
so untill today I still have a little smell. I mask it with air freshner. and put it in the paint boot and turn the heat up, so it smell better now.

On a side note, does anyone know how to clean the evaporator core w/o disconnecting it? I'm sure a/c isn't popular on HMT but I needz it! I'm sure i have lots of dirt and leaves clogging up my evaporator and it makes the a/c stink the first 5-10 minutes that it's on.
