First, to the people saying to use M1T, I'm you all know better Than to tell some one that probably has never lifted weights to use prohormones. I'm not saying that they can't be safe, but they are not for beginners. Side effects can be gyno (bitch ****), and a non functional *****.
First there is no replacement for working out. If you're asking about Gear before asking about lifting you need to get your priorities straight. just start lifting hard, take a few multi vitamins a day, eat some source protein at least every 3 hours, the best/easiest/tastiest supplement you need is whey protein. I use Optimum nutrition 100% whey. You mix it with milk and it actually tastes great.
Check out the forums at bodybuilding.com, supersite. There are also a ton of articles, check out some by big cat. It's a huge site, usually more than 100 people veiwing.

M1T, last time I checked, was in the price range of $20 from higher power, the BB.com brand.
As for fork, he asked about an alternative, so i gave it to him. I warned about the side effects and told him the most important things are eating and getting in the gym. No need to get happy ovet this. It is recomeded for users over 21. He looks older then 21 to me. Get off my nuts.
