I have received my rims from steathmode yeasterday and they are sweet. I got the black 16" rims. I won't have any pictures for a couple of days cuz the tire shop talked me into getting the wrong tires. Yeha i got them on today and the guy at the tire shop said that I need 205/40/16 but I wanted 205/45/16. They fill out the wheel well better, right? Well he said that if I do that they could rub. So I took his word for it and they turned out to be a really small sidewall. GAY. peirod. They have really big fender gap and it looks like a clean hoopty ride. I want to take them back. My friend with his crx has 15"s with 205/50/15 and he has no rubbing. I am very disappointed in the tires. I put like 25 miles on them today riding around with my friend and his crx and our girlfriends but that shouldn't matter. (he has black rims with silver polished lips too. mugen style.) I am going on a rant cuz this ---- shouldn't have happened. I am pissed. I will be even more mad if they don't take them back. But otherwise they look sweet on my Black CRX. When I do get pictures I might need some one to post them for me. Thanks guys.

40 series are the way to go. 45 series is too chunky.

Just stick with the 40 series. Take pics with the 40 series and if you decide to go with the 45 series take a picture too. I wanna see how they both look on your ride.

I did this research for my CRX a year ago when I got 16" Rims. You want 205-40/16. Those are the CORRECT size for that car. Maybe you don't quite under stand the wheel sizing numbers? Heres the info...

example for 205/40-16
205 = width of tread patch in mm
40 = aspect ratio, meaning side wall height = 40% of tread width
16 = rim size obviously.

If you actually do the calculations you'll quickly realize that if you get 45 ratio tires your speed will be off and your gears will seem taller, due to the increased circumfrence of your tires.

btw, maybe you should have opted for 15" rims (205/50-15 is the proper size for 15" rims)

A 40 series on a 16 looks like ***.I had a set of 16s with 40s and it looked like the tire was too small.Or like my car wasnt lowerd at all.I gues go with a 40 if your car is slammed and the wheels are tucked.otherwise it will look like your car needs to be lowered...alot!

yeah, but i have 205/40/17, which means it's bigger than a 205/40/16, and i have no rubbing or anything, i would like a 45 series also, but don't think that's feesable with a 17 :P the 40 series ride rough and it is very little sidewall, i've blown out two sidewalls on small potholes in the past 5 mos :P

i had 205 40 16 . i like the 40 series, 45 is to thick for me, plus the 40's came right up to the fender, i aint trying to tuck 16's

The hole point in having 45s is that I drive on nebraska roads every day and every bump I hit now shakes my car on stock springs. The 40s sucked yesterday. To day I got the 45s and they took away the wheel gap front to back but I still need lowering springs to bring it down to have an even amount of wheel gap all the way around. I don't wat a slamed car. It isn't a show car. It's an everyday driver. I can't afford blowouts. These tires cost me more that the rims. pirellis. Before on the 40s they looked so small and even my girlfriend who know nothing about cars said they were tiny. she said tiny. and so did everyone else. I cant have that.
