I play CS on my desktop currently, but I want to put it on my laptop also. is there a way I can put the same key on both machines? I don't intend on playing them at the same time, just one or the other, but I'd like to have the option for various reasons.

yea you can do it, I've got counterstrike running on both my computers and it loads up fine, i can even have both of them in the same server.

how? when I try to load CS on the second machine it asks for a key. when I put the key in it says already in use. what do I do?

yeah really the only way i can play on both my comps is a network game?

I don't want to play both on one internet server at the same time. but it'd be nice to lan game on them or something. I don't know how to load CS on the machine while already having it registered on another machine

You should be able to just install steam and open it in offline mode and choose network game in options

i installed steam, but it will not let me upgrade my 1.5 to 1.6 with my old cd key
